Loved the furniture and (vintage) style of the room interior. Lot of space, well equipped. The Eureka itself is very small and quiet.

The town was very quaint and small. Not awhole lot to do. DO NOT EAT across the street and the so called "STEAKHOUSE". THey do not serve any steak and be careful with your order. Young kids in the whole place to serve you that do not know how to cook.

A good place to spend the night on the Loneliest Road in America. This old mining town has an interesting history that's still somewhat visible. We spent half a day walking up & down main street checking out their historic tour. Fascinating. Shot some pool, had a few drinks and a pretty good dinner at the Owl Club Bar & Steakhouse. If you're the hiking type, Eureka would make a good jumping off point for some of the local-ish peaks. Glad we got to meet Eureka.

Small gold mining town in the middle of fabulous wide open spaces. We were just stopping over so did not see a lot of the place besides the main through road. Some old interesting buildings (some derelict) mixed with modern ones. There is a good mexican restaurant with friendly owners just up the road from the hotel we stayed at.

Eureka is a small town with lots of history. The locals are really into to their town which makes it fun. I especially enjoyed the Visitors Center and the couple who run it. There are several historic hotels to stay in, but we stayed at the Sundown Lodge which was just fine. Eureka is very walk-able. There is a self tour pamphlet available or a tour offered by the visitors center for a minimal fee.

IMHO, Eureka (Nevada) is only good as an overnight stop during a long roadtrip. The majority of the shops are permanently closed, and there isn't much to see or do other than the well-designed walking (self) tour, which takes less than half hour to finish.
