Large and comfortable room. The heating and hot water worked perfectly. Very comfortable bed with good sheets to withstand the cold weather. Good location on the edge of the main road and close to restaurants and a gas station.

    Fairplay is such a unique and historic town.

    Fairplay is such a unique and historic town. Everyone was so friendly. We spent some time shopping and ordered food one evening (which was so good!). Burro Days started just as we were leaving. We would like to go back and spend more time in Fairplay, especially during Burro Days!

    Absolutely love staying in Fairplay.

    Absolutely love staying in Fairplay. It has everything we need - motel, grocery store, hardware and fly-fishing shop. We especially enjoy food and service at Casa Sanchez. If requested, they will serve scrumptious sopapaillas plain and warm with the meal, with a little honey on the side. Delicious!

    The location was excellent. Just outside of town but felt like you were so far removed from it all. Fairplay museum was super neat and Breckenridge was a short beautiful drive for a fun day trip and also so close to GREAT family friendly hikes. The hot tub was amazing out on the deck over looking the forest with the sound of the creek in the background. It was everything me and my family needed to slow down and recharge. Lots of ping pong tournaments were had!

    The host was so friendly! He gave great info about the town and things to do and directions and told us about altitude sickness, which was really helpful! Great Location for a small town. Lots to see and do! Mountains in every direction. Quiet at the cabin. Low traffic at cabin location. Def going back! We all look forward to another stay at this cabin.

    Hand Hotel is a charming, historic property in a small Denver mountain town. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast is homemade and truly outstanding. We had very limited time in Fair Play and would have loved to have been able to take better advantage of the well-appointed property and grounds.

    Very clean and comfortable rooms. Great location right off the main road in fairplay, and a short walk to the downtown strip. We love eating at casa Sanchez’s and Mr. Burro’s after all our backpacking trips. They’ve always been amazing! Highly recommend the western inn. Simple, well-priced and very accommodating.
