I stayed here this week and was pleasantly surprised since the outside does look a bit rough. The woman at the desk was pleasant, it was quiet overnight, the room was clean (no bugs seen anywhere), the A/C was ice cold, free wi-fi, and the room even had a microwave and mini fridge. The hotel is right across from the street from McDonald's and there is a Dollar General right down the road where you can pick up food and other items.

This host thought of EVERYTHING and expected very little from us on our departure. It’s a beautiful house! We went for the antique fair just before Round Top. There were some lovely restaurants nearby and it could not have been more perfect!

    While the reason we stayed in Flatonia was because we wanted affordable lodging close to Shiner for homecoming weekend, we were able to experience Robert's Steakhouse, on the other side of the highway. We loved it!!! Great menu, awesome, tasty, high-quality food. We also found everything we needed at Dollar General. Really nice town with warm and welcoming people.
