We decided to leave the hotel we had booked earlier because we had a very unpleasant situation there. So we booked this hotel instead. What a fabtastic decision! It was clean, spacious, comfortable and the nice lady at the reception gave us an upgrade to a room with beauful ocean views. Staff of this hotel were even apologetic for the bad experience we had in the other place in Galveston. Right across the beach at a great location!

    We love Galveston! There are so many wonderful restaurants and things to do. The Bryan Musem was excellent- highly recommend! Rudy and Pacos is always excellent! The water was beautiful - beaches were great.

    Galveston is one of the highlights of living in Houston.

    Galveston is one of the highlights of living in Houston. In an hour you're at the beach. There are a plethora of interesting museums to visit and the seafood is plenty. My family especially enjoy eating at Fisherman's Wharf, the Harbor Tour, and going to Stewart Beach.

    Galveston is an extremely dirty city. You do not feel safe there at. There is absolutely nothing to do or see in Galveston. Almost all the buildings are empty. Only was in Galveston for our cruise. Stayed the day before and after the cruise.

    Galveston is dirty and overcrowded. Especially with immigrants. Not like the Galveston i visited growing up. CAnt go anywhere without a huge line and wait. Eveything seems dirty and sticky. Its just a mess.

    There's a lot of kid friendly stuff in Galveston.

    There's a lot of kid friendly stuff in Galveston. This makes it the perfect little, quick trip, get away spot for families. From dolphin tours, to pleasure pier there's plenty to do. With lot's of dining options and beach access it's always a win.

    We only stayed 1 night, to catch the cruise ship the next day. I was very happy with the Hotel & Staff. Had a covered parking area and Parking fee was only $20.00 to leave car parked there while on a 8 day cruise. The room was clean, had a refrigerator & microwave. I will return!

    The George Manor is a beautiful old mansion in the historical part of Galveston that has been recently renovated. Our experience was superior. The proprietors were attentive and extremely congenial. Breakfast in the morning is not to be missed. Will stay there every time my wife and I visit Galveston.

    The location is perfect. It is walking distance to Pleasure Pier and the beach. My older married kids enjoy the walking distance to bars on Seawall BLVD. My grandson and I walked to the beach in the evening & crazy enough we felt safe at 9:00pm.
