This was the first hotel I have stayed in where I walked in and immediately felt comfortable. I actually slept in this hotel room and felt at home. It felt more like a cool bedroom suite not a "hotel" room which are all pretty typically the same. I can never get comfortable, but this time I felt at home and at ease. The bedding was different than other hotels too and I didn't feel like I needed to take the blankets off before sleeping. I just got cozy. Also loved the little added touch of the personalized welcome on the TV screen upon entering! Made us feel special!

The facilities were new, immaculately clean, and homey. The staff were genuinely welcoming and their customer service was extraordinary. I had just come from a stressful week and staying here rejuvenated me. As well, the other guests I bumped into shared the same sense of "home" and high view of the staff and facilities.

    We loved Grand Rapids and there was so much more we could have explored had we had more time. We plan on coming back soon though! We loved the Lantern Festival and Meijer Gardens. Both were worth going back for! The only thing that we didn't care for was the traffic and busy roadways!!

    Grand Rapids is all decked out for Christmas and it is just BEAUTIFUL! There is so much to do downtown and with great eateries and places to tuck into for a drink, it is the perfect place for a day of shopping and a night out on the town. We loved being there and were over the top satisfied with our stay at the Embassy Suites.

    I was visiting Frederik Meijer Gardens and to see a summer...

    I was visiting Frederik Meijer Gardens and to see a summer concert, so wasn't expecting anything from Grand Rapids but it's a lovely city and I would have happily stayed an extra night or two. I only had one full day to explore the city. The art gallery is really good and in a nice area for eating and getting a drink. The library is cool and we found it pretty walkable overall, or easy to find parking if needing to drive. Good restaurants, breweries, cafes, etc... And FM garden and sculpture park only about ten minutes drive is awesome. I feel there is much more to explore in this area.

    We lived there for 12 years so it was good to go back. A lot has changed, there’s way more restaurants downtown and a lot of growth and improvements. A lot of people walking around and enjoying the atmosphere.

    I canceled my reservation 5 days prior to my arrival date...

    I canceled my reservation 5 days prior to my arrival date and still got charged for a stqay that did not happen. I calceled through Booking.com and have been very displeased. Using a separate booking service rather than interacting with your guests and customers is a disconnected way to run a hospitality business.     Hosts Ken and Ruth were so lovely. I actually booked this as a surprise for my daughter and son in laws 5th wedding anniversary for just one night. I communicated with Ken via text and he was so accommodating. Daughter and son in law just loved staying here, very different than a hotel. So personal and cozy. And the breakfast that is included, WOW! Thank you for a wonderful stay. Would highly recommend!
