United StatesThe breakfast was enjoyable. There was a pretty good variety of foods to pick from.
The pool was fun as my husband and I had the whole pool to ourselves. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. We had a full size stove and refrigerator and a sink between the appliances.

United StatesA very comfortable bed. I was surprised, pleasantly, that the room had a microwave & refrigerator. The bathroom looked a little worn BUT it was clean. Overall, a good stay and pleasant facilities.

Jefferson, Iowa is a small town and as a typical small town...
Jefferson, Iowa is a small town and as a typical small town things shut down early; 9-10pm. The attraction is Wild Rose Casino. Frankly I was a little disappointed in the size of the casino; quite small AND is only open from 8am-2am. The town does have 2 grocery stores, a few gas stations, and restaurants (A&W, a couple with Mexican food, Hy-Vee Market Grille, etc.)...again though they close early.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

We explored the downtown area a bit to see the local bell tower and saw the large mural of chickens on a building that had been a chick hatchery in the past. There was a restaurant called the Junkyard Cafe which displayed car paraphernalia and quite interesting. The food was great as well. The Wild Rose Casino is also attached to the hotel which is very convenient. This hotel was situated in the perfect spot on our journey to visit friends just a little north of Jefferson.Guest review byAnonymous - 6.0
In reserving my room i requested ground floor upon arriving...
In reserving my room i requested ground floor upon arriving we were given 2nd floor room. after returning to the hotel from function we were attending there were police at the hotel and walking past rooms to get to our room saw what we presumed was a crime scene and we did not feel comfortable staying there not knowing what was going on. very hard to get good night sleep before driving back home not knowing if it was safe in the hotel. thank you marciaGuest review byMarciaUnited States
