Lincoln City was not my first choice but after staying in the motel and it being a place that had a more natural atmosohere and friendly staff and restaurant walking dustance with a view of ocean made my 3 day trip memorable. We ate at Kyllo's and Taste of India, both were excellent. We also ate at Misty's and it was good and view was lovely. We also stopped at Barnicale Bills for seafood, over 50 years old, also the Candy Store that was 50 year business very nice people at both stores and good foods. The best thing we did was go to the Lincoln City Glass and did blown glass. Donald was a very good teacher and did a great job explaining what we were doing. I was impressed with having kids that were 48inches tall being able to do the activity. You have to pre-schedule to do it. We were there during the week so were able to get a spot the next day. Lincoln City is nice -- kind of between quaint and starting to 'grow up' into a modern city. There are more stores and restaurants opening, but still not a great deal of things to do outside of the casino. The weather is partially responsible, as the PNW is NOT like souther California -- here it is mostly cool/cold (or in CA terms, FREEZING). Bring warm clothes unless you are the "shorts and tank-top in a blizzard" type of person. What I liked most was, no matter what store or place my caregiver and I went into, the staff at each place was friendly, welcoming and ready to answer any questions you may have. I was so glad to find out about the Travel Lincoln City as they have a lot of info about different places to go to while my caregiver and I were there. Besides going to the beach going to get a bite to eat or a snack the following are Mo's, Gallucci's Pizza place, Otis Cafe, Candyland are a huge favorite to go to I noticed for many vacationers. Soo many beautiful beaches to choose from. Tidepools, whale watching, shopping, eating out. A short drive to Depoe Bay and Newport for more activities. Breathttaking views and a variety of activities make this place one of my favorites! Pig-N-Pancake is always an easy but satisfying choice for breakfast. Tie Dye Pizza is popular for good reason. Buy a kite at on of many shops and have a blast flying it. Head down to Depoe bay and have THE BEST fish and chips at The Horn Public House while looking out at the wildlife and boats, and have a bowl of chowder at the original Mo's in Newport. Stop by the light house at Yaquina, and visit Fogarty beach at low tide. Spend a couple hours at Ripley's Believe it or not also, and grab some fudge and taffy on your way back up the coast. And there are dozens of Geocaches to be found up and down the coast. These were the things I spent my days doing, and I look forward to going back again soon.Guest review byRachelUnited States
