The view is stunning. Parking available next to the cabin. Very very spacious and clean rooms.Breakfast was delicious. The staff is very kind. A small interesting museum, and films that were filmed in the area included. Definitely, recommend this place.

If you love the beauty of the desert, respect and admire Navajo culture, and want to be surrounded by iconic visions of the Southwest, Monument Valley is a bucket list trip for sure. I would go back with family, perhaps booking a horseback trip in the park next time.

We arrived late afternoon and looked around Gould's Resort. The museum was interesting and food was quite good other than the country western music, which is not our style. We took the Sunrise Tour through Gould's Resort and it was excellent. The formations in Monument Valley are fabulous. The movie and Navajo history are also very interesting.

I'm not normally into landscapes, but this was an incredible experience. The facades of the natural monuments have weathered into pictorial dioramas. It's astonishing the variety of visual angles available to the eye at different times of the day as the sun rises and sets.

Two nights was perfect amount of time for 3.5 - 5.5 hour tours, plus time for hiking, the museum, movies, and the arts & crafts shop. That was a pleasant surprise; low on kitsch, but high on exceptional, local Navajo weavings, beadwork, and jewelry.

A lifetime experience. Local guide a must do!

A lifetime experience. Local guide a must do! Great photo opportunities. A magical place. Goulding’s have great meals. Hint: don’t drive a sedan around the valley you’ll risk getting stuck or wrecking sump , take a guide or have a 4x4.

Monument Valley and the surrounding area is a must visit if...

Monument Valley and the surrounding area is a must visit if one wants to view a spectacular and iconic landscape of the American West (featured in countless John Ford westerns and other films) with one's own eyes. The area is entirely within, and the park itself managed by, the Navajo Nation, and they do so very professionally. The entrance fee to the densest 'monument' area is nominal, and if one does not want to deal with crowds, many amazing geological features can be seen without entering the park proper. The surrounding area has been kept free of commercial clutter and is a tranquil and starkly beautiful place to visit. I can especially recommend a trip to Goulding's Lodge, even if one is not staying there, for the trading post museum and other services, as well as the fantastic views. While Monument Valley might not be the best choice for small children or excitement craving teens, if awe-inspiring landscapes are your thing it is well worth a visit!

Absolutely amazing location. We had a little cabin with a view right towards Monument Valley and watched sunrise from our front porch! :-) we had dinner at the restaurant on site as not much else around but really enjoyed it. Wonderful, proper coffee (eg Americanos, lattes, etc.) at the coffee shop at the Chevron garage right near the hotel and cabins and super friendly workers at all locations. Will 100% stay here again when we return to MV. Perfect for families.

Very nice room with an amazing view to the Monument Valley. You can dine & breakfast at the hotel's restaurant and the food is very tasty. Everybody is very polite and for sure we appreciated the overall vibe of the location. Tips: they don't serve alcool at the restaurant.

We stayed in one of the Chalets the views were amazing. They are relatively new and located away from the main hotel in a village like setting very pleasing. Sun rise is well worth getting up early to see.

The view from the porch was great. It was the only thing that we liked about this hotel.
