Friendly folks at all businesses! Loved the crater of Diamonds State Park, Restaurants were not plentiful but they were all good. The Diamond Old West hotel and cabins was an awesome place to stay, just can't say enough about our experience staying there! A full sized BBQ grill with all the supplies (except charcoal) to cook with. I loved that we had a fire pit with firewood already cut for us. There was also a grate to cook on the fire too. The shower had plenty of hot water for all five of our guests. I liked how we had a big refrigerator for all of our groceries. Good TV, good AC, good mini fridge, etc. The jacuzzi tub was a plus. Bed was instantly sleep inducing and blissful. Great location for Crater of Diamonds. I also like that there are just a few rooms and a streamlined check in process so it feels somewhat like an AirBNB but with the conveniences of a hotel.
