We had an excellent stay at Renaissance Newport beach hotel. As a family of 3 persons, 2 adults and 1 child 4 years old, we enjoyed the spacious room, the comfy beds and the cleanliness. I honestly couldn’t have found a better place to relax and unwind. Solarena Hotel is a true hidden gem – just a 2-minute walk from the beach, yet tucked away enough to enjoy peace and calm. The vibe is serene, the space impeccably clean, and the design feels thoughtful and fresh. The staff? Absolutely amazing. Super friendly, genuinely helpful, and always ready to go the extra mile if you need anything – big or small. There’s a warm, welcoming energy that makes you feel right at home the moment you arrive. Something worth mentioning is that the hotel was recently taken over by new owners about a month ago, and you can really see the difference. They’re doing a fantastic job reviving the space and turning it into something special. Whatever the reputation was before – forget it. This place is on a whole new level now. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy the beach life with a touch of style and a lot of heart. I’ll definitely be back!

    Newport is a lovely town that isn't talked about enough.

    Newport is a lovely town that isn't talked about enough. I'm not a world traveler by any means but it's a wonderful escape from any busy life and although dinning and entertainment can be a bit pricey I'd say for a short visit to reset your mental and possibly even physical health it would be most worth it!

    I have always enjoyed coming here to fish and eat. We took family pictures here one year. Great place to hang out and highly recommend the deap sea fishing out of Newport Landing. It's a little pricey but you can always find a Groupon.

    Do not miss out on eating a meal at Tommy Bahamas restaurant on Pacific Coast Highway. Get your hair styled at the Strand London on Pacific Coast Highway and Corona Del Mar on the corner of Marguerite next to the Bank. Shop at the Irvine spectrum and have dinner there at capital dim sum. There is a fabulous huge Ferris wheel at the spectrum kids would love it. Take a whale watching tour on boat at Dana point Harbor.

    I liked the cleanness of the city. The weather was good. A lot of things to do malls complex's with other things you can do. I believe I saw a movie theater, It's just so much to remember, but the get away is worth your stay. Remember, If you don't like walking try public transportation or rental car. All in all I walked plenty of miles, and saw so must. Airport is in the area John Wayne. And his stature looks just like him. Really it does. So much to see. My favorite spot was the airport, because it was clean and the employees look good in their uniforms. Might not sound important , but it is. Look good feel good. Getting around is not that bad, remember to make sure your direction are correct, text and map helps. Come prepared to have a good time. Here on work, next time with family and kids.     The beach was great.

    The beach was great. The surfers were there early doing their thing. The kids could get in the water and use the boogie boards. They had a good time. We had a nice bbq and enjoyed the patio. The house was nice. We would avoid that house because its party city for the local teens. The beach does not close for them. They holler and make noise until 3:00am or later.

    I was in Newport for work and stayed here because the Travelodge I had reserved (because it was less expensive) turned out to be a crack house. For the money, this place is too old. The "bath towels" are the worst of the worst. For the money, you're right on the fringe. Clean, but not clean enough. Old shower, old shower head, old floor tile. But the King bed was surprisingly firm. Good fridge, micro and TV. Decent amount of space. The place has the vibe of a dump without being a dump. There's a need to upgrade the bathroom and showers.
