It was in a great location for us, the views were beautiful, the access was great - straight off the highway, the 'wigwam we stayed in was very comfortable, the people were very friendly and helpful. We had great food at the café, the pool was lovely (although we wish it opened a little earlier in the morning).
However we do have to mention the toilets. The ones we used were rough and ready but were mostly ok. However, of the 4, one was out of order and one was blocked and had no running water at the hand wash basin. We picked one that was clean and did work though .

We'd recommend staying in Lone Pine vs. Olancha; the latter doesn't offer much except, perhaps, a 25- to 30-mile reduction in miles driven in order to visit Death Valley.
Stay in Panamint Springs if you want to be closer to Death Valley attractions with equal or better amenities than Olancha offers.
Olancha does have a fuel/service station but otherwise, Lone Pine has a lot more to offer (stores, restaurants, a museum, a greater variety of lodging choices, etc.) and is 21 miles closer to Bishop, Mt. Whitney, etc.

There are a lot of things to do and see within a short distance from this location and it is centrally located to them. The food on site is very good, and there are several good places in nearby Lone Pine. (22mi)

My room was in an older mobile home that was nicely outfitted and upgraded inside. It was quiet and the parking was great. The staff were friendly. There is a kitchen and a pool, but I all I needed was a cool place to sleep in Olancha. There is also a cafe but it was closed during the time I tried to visit it.
An interesting place, not far from the entrance to the Death Valley. RV park with some trailer-alike rooms and tents (teepees). Great landscape around. The room was quite cold and dirty with mould on the ceiling and in the shower. WiFi worked only near the cafe.
We had a great stay at this hotel! The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. There is also a wonderful café on the hotel grounds where the food is absolutely delicious.
Came the long way from Austria, and the stop at Olancha was worth the way. Cute cosy Tipi, the most comfortable bed and heated blankets. No frozen toes possible. Stop by and enjoy it.
