Very beautiful hotel located directly at the riverwalk. It also includes a balcony overlooking the riverwalk directly. A great spot to relax and enjoy the lively evenings at the riverwalk. Also the inner courtyard with the pool is great and relaxing. From the location you can explore the whole riverwalk by foot and also reach the Alamo on a very scenic route. The Valet Parking works awesome and we never had any problem to get our car quickly. We drove a big suburban and it was no issue at all to park this car.

FAQs about hotels in San Antonio

The Legend of the West

San Antonio in Texas is home to 2 of the state’s top attractions – The Alamo and the Riverwalk. One of the city’s former Spanish missions, the Alamo was the site of a deadly battle that cost folk hero Davy Crockett his life. The other remaining missions – Concepcion, San Jose, San Juan, and Espada with its aqueduct – are dotted around the city. The attractive Spanish Governor’s Palace also remains.

The San Antonio River runs right through the city, below street level. Known as the Riverwalk, its banks have been cleverly developed to house riverfront restaurants, bars and shops, and are spectacularly lit for Christmas. There are several San Antonio hotels by the Riverwalk which are also close to the Rivercenter Mall, the city’s biggest shopping centre, while La Villita artisan village offers more traditional crafts.

Across the road in Hemisfair is the Tower of the Americas, a tall observation tower with a revolving restaurant overlooking the Alamodome, a huge sports and convention venue, home to the annual Alamo Bowl collegiate football game. Booking.com offers several San Antonio hotels near the Alamodome, and more accommodation near San Antonio Airport.

On the outskirts of the city are Sea World and Six Flags Fiesta Texas. The city also hosts the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, one of the country’s biggest Western events.

Very sad now. Not what it used to be.

Very sad now. Not what it used to be. Mayer took away gandala boats. Zero musicians. Just a bad tourist trap now. High prices, no authenticity! Sad. Worth going to the missions outer parts of city. But the city itself is broken and homeless all over. No one seems happy. Very sad.

The trip to SA was ok, until to get to the downtown area,...

The trip to SA was ok, until to get to the downtown area, which is where the riverwalk attractions are at..ALL THE AREA was under construction, the streets are vaguely marked with real small signs, some of the streets are "one ways" and some are not and there are no signs to alert you to that, you have to sort of follow traffic and get lucky to where you are going. SA down town has streets going in all directions making it hard to follow because of the poor visability of names of the streets... the city should have chosed a better time to do all the freaking construction....

This is how most Texans are I'm not going to blame everyone on a few people like I said I love that motel I stayed at forever until they thought they were better than me and I was the one paying the bill I let him know right quick that ain't how we do it down in Texas and you think it is you might already go back where you came from because Toby Keith and Willie Nelson would hung them high in the streets for the s*** that they tried to pull on me but I don't hold the garage like that I called the man that was on the sign I thought he might want to know his business was being run inthe ground they said thank you Mr Robertson would you like your money back I said no not I why I called I just thought you might want to take your name off that sign true fact I bet it don't stay there much longer

It's an older building, but you can tell there were some renovations and still quite clean. Mattresses were comfortable (had a good night's sleep), rooms and restrooms were clean which was worth the price and the area helps if you want to avoid the heavy San Antonio traffic if you plan to go to the Riverwalk / Alamo area. The only receptionist there was often busy but still resourceful and hospitable. (Please be nice to her, it's a big hotel)
