Breakfast was as expected but the hotel kindly started it a half hour early to meet the schedule of the volleyball players that were is a local tournament. This was so appreciated. We left a few items in our room and they actually called me to let me know. This was awesome customer service!

We enjoyed a concert at the Blue Gate Performance Center.

We enjoyed a concert at the Blue Gate Performance Center. If you want to shop in Shipshewana, do not go on Sunday because almost everything is closed. There are alot of fun places to shop the rest of the week.

We wanted to go for the the ambiance of the area so we booked a concert at the Blue Gate Concert Venue we wanted to attend one night, stayed over and saw a musical the next day at the Blue Gate Theater. They shows were fabulous! We loved all the shops, the flea market was not open the days we were there, so that would take more time too. We also ran out of time to see all the shops as most tend to close at 5 pm with a few staying open until 7 pm.

Visited for a show at their PAC. Town is such a great place in the middle of an Amish community. Lots of unique shops, restaurants and sights. Wonderful.place to visit. The pace naturally slows within this environment.

Cutest town ever and friendliest people you'd ever want to meet! Loved all of the garden shops and bakeries. The flea market was ok, a lot of the same stuff in multiple booths. Was hoping for more homemade items, not things brought in from China. The town was super easy to navigate. Be sure to check out the entertainment venue before you go. It was a perfect location for a girl's get-away!!

I come here with friends and family on a regular basis. The theater, restaurants and shops are always fun. The staff at the Blue Gate are always very friendly. The shopping is my favorite part. I enjoy the fact that I can find skirts and other modest clothing easily. The Christian concerts are another favorite attraction.

We had a wonderful time in Shipshewana.

We had a wonderful time in Shipshewana. For a small town, it had a lot of small businesses, something for everyone including a carousel for the kids. Or kids at heart. There are also a variety of family businesses in the country, including harness makers, bakeries, dairies, meat processors, honey and candles, etc. Just driving through the area is interesting. The area is full of farms, clothes blowing in the breeze, horses in fields, horses and buggy's and bicycles. I would highly recommend this small town as a destination. There are tour options, horse and buggy rides, even having a meal in an Amish home that we did not experience. We were not there when the flea market was open, so that would definitely have an impact and should be considered.

The rooms were clean and quiet. The atmosphere was wonderful. We had a great family experience. There were many Amish families staying at the hotel and that was a great experience. Went downtown where there were many quaint shops and it was beautifully decorated for Halloween/Fall. Hearing the horse and buggies going by was such a great relaxing experience in this busy world we live in today.

breakfast was lovely. Hot and cold selections, juice, tea and coffee. loved making waffles every day. Front office personnel were awesome. If you asked they answered. next door to The Shipshewana RV Park and a mile up the road was the enormous flea Market, every Tuesday and Wednesday. Awesome find to be had. This is our fifth time to Shipshewana, we enjoy the atmosphere.
