Check in/ check out was a breeze. Staff was nice throughout our stay. Room was clean. We were by the elevators and I was worried about noise but didn’t hear them at all. Breakfast was plentiful (and lots of options) with lots of room to move around everyone.

The first room stank of cigarette smoke, we moved to a room across the corridor, no smell in this room. There was what appeared to be a cigarette burn mark on the toilet seat lid and 3 more on the edge of the bath tub, the toilet door would not close, photo available of broken lock, the view from the room was the parking lot and the filling station next door

    We had an excellent dinner at Chesapeake based on recommendation of hotel front desk. We loved it! Great food, drinks and atmosphere as well as friendly staff. If ever in area again this would be a definite stop!

    We were there for the state fair, which we visit each year.

    We were there for the state fair, which we visit each year. The business 55, Veterans Parkway, was the access road we used between the motel and the fair. This road is used by many locals and still not crowded as one would expect. Many restaurants and shopping along this route.

    Definitely worth checking out because of Abraham Lincoln.

    Definitely worth checking out because of Abraham Lincoln. The presidential museum is excellent and you can see the neighborhood where he lived and tour his house. The old state capital is also worth a visit. Plenty of shops and restaurants in the downtown area. And of course visiting his tomb is a must. Anytime I'm near Springfield I always take a day to check out the Lincoln history.

    Loved the museum, the tomb and New Salem.

    Loved the museum, the tomb and New Salem. We were disappointed that you could not tour the Lincoln house without a ticket as we have never run into that at other presidents homes. The tickets were gone in the early afternoon and talking to others we were not the only ones that were disappointed.

    The Presidential museum in Springfield covers the life and president of Abraham Lincoln really well. It showcases the development of his career, his opionons and the perception of his work and achievementgs very differntiated and in interesting detail. It is definitely worth making a detour to Springfield for the museum, if you have not planned to come here anyhow.

    A great little city for history and architecture.

    A great little city for history and architecture. We went as Lincoln tourists and added on some Route 66 tourism. There were some things we did not have time to do. The Lincoln neighborhood was very beautiful and relaxing. It was a gorgeous day, and we could have sat in that area for hours.

    Very bright and airy lobby. Great staff at check- in and otherwise. I had room 216 which was a suite and was very good. They were just starting a complimentary Happy Hour when we started (free nibbles etc) but we didn’t partake though it was tempting. Easy to find location, with plenty of free parking, good nearby Walmart and handy for downtown Springfield (about 10-25 minutes).

    The only two positives were the breakfast and the staff. They gave us a voucher to order any breakfast we wanted from the hotel restaurant. The front desk staff was friendly and the restaurant staff was friendly and helpful.
