I loved this cosy stay! The flat has everything that you need as a base, and it’s a very relaxing place to sit outside on your quiet private patio. I also really loved the local goodies like natural shampoo and delicious muesli!

Via's Guesthouse is very well located on the main road, but in the back of the little restaurant so it is very quiet. The rooms are big and comfortable. We arrived late and Matthew was waiting for us to show us around. We stayed 2 nights and truly enjoyed out stay in Greyton... it was very relaxing and peaceful. We forgot our jackets and Matthew helpt us to get them back to Cape Town.

This bnb surpasses expectations! It's our second time there and we will return any time possible. It's like a mini retreat center, with the most increadible garden, cared for by the most lovely host Ritta! The rooms are spotless, spaciois, beautifully arranged and comfortable. The bathrooms are also very beautiful, clean and spacious. We had everything we needed. Ritta was very polite and caring! She resides on the other side of the house and provided us ampty of space, being extra quite for us to enjoy yet being fully responsive when we needed anything. Thank you, Ritta! Looking forward to staying with you again!

We overnighted in Swellendam and were delighted to be able to stay in the oldest house in the town. A beautiful room with wide yellowwood floors and ceiling. Not often you get to stay in a place that is 200 plus years in South Africa. Lizette gave us a tour of this special house and provided rusks and a flask of hot water for coffee during load shedding, and some anti mosquito spray. Small touches that made us feel very welcome.

Lovely village in a beautiful, scenic setting surrounded by mountains, valleys, streams, rolling green hills - lots of heritage buildings, coffee shops, delis, restaurants, galleries, live concerts, Saturday markets, also pet friendly and small enough to walk everywhere. Very friendly locals! Perfect country getaway for families, hiking / mountain biking, exploring.

The Post House offers wonderful accommodation with delicious breakfasts. Stay a weekend and enjoy the Saturday market. Eateries a must, Abby Rose and Rupert's. Spoil yourself with handmade decadent Von Geusan Belgian chocolate and jewellery from Graeme Bramley at the Old Coach House. Visit the shops and get to know the locals. Get a table at Potters Inn, enjoy a beer or a beverage on the patio, and watch the horses roam freely and the donkeys pass-by, and time stand still.

    The town is beautiful.

The town is beautiful. The amosphere is relaxing and laid-back. The towns - people are very mindful of visitors and were helpful and friendly. At one point, we were approached to ask if we needed assistance. The short hiking trail we took was beautiful.

    Some very nice stores.

Some very nice stores. Sadly trading times are not conducive to stimulating business. Nice people and the all too short Saturday market ( 10-12 am) is well stocked. Restaurants are not quite on the spot with rather poor offerings. It is apparent that Pizza is the thing to go for.. All in all its a good getaway, but could be a lot better.

Great breakfast each morning, inside or outside. The grounds are lovely, and there is a pool to cool off in. The staff are wonderful, it is like a home from home. Nice hotel bar open in the evening and lots of cafes and restaurants in town. Greyton is a superb town off the beaten tourist trap. Lots to do, really friendly locals.

Greyton is a very quiet little town that has great views of the mountains. These mountains are a must-see, especially going to the Boesmanskloof. You can hike small to long distances with safe parking. The whole town feels very safe and you could walk from one end to the other. On the main road are many cozy restaurants.

The Old Potters Inns is a very characterful and historic building in Greyton. The attractiveness is highlighted by the fact that it seemed to be the best place in town for all the locals on the night I stayed there - praise indeed when the locals choose it as the destination of choice.
