Excellent staff. I had a burst tyre on my to the Lodge, and when I contacted them to explain my delay, the owner and her friends were so concerned about me being stuck in the dark on my own that they asked a friend to come and sit with me. They also set in place a tow truck if needed. When I eventually got to the Lodge, they sat down with me to eat and drink and check that I was OK. They continued to check I was OK for the next few days. With regards to the Lodge, the room was big and clean, with greenery outside the rooms and lovely lawns throughout the property with impala wandering about. Lots of room outside to sit and ponder, as well as having a swimming pool and a great restaurant. Very easy to find and handy for getting to Pilanesburg NP and even Madikwe Reserve with a bit of research. Great place to stay to attend one of the African Wild Dog ecotrips that usually happen during July and August. These are run by the Waterberg Wild Dogs Initiative. This is my 2nd stay at the Lodge, although I didn't meet owners last time. Convenient spot for if travelling north and has an Avis car hire branch in the town.

    The area that we visited, Simba Safaris, was nice and quiet.

    The area that we visited, Simba Safaris, was nice and quiet. We had the opportunity to interact with big cats. We felt very safe. We visited the Lephalale Mall, and it's pretty decent; it has good shops and restaurants. Just that when staying at Simba, everything is pretty far. The mall is over 20km away, You have to make sure you get your stock before going there

    it is way out of the path of anywhere, a great place for the next hunting trip, but should you get the opportunity then please stay over, the mall and amenities/shops/eateries etc are plentiful and surprisingly you will find many attractions you would only expect in larger cities. Our meetings went on late into the evening so it was great to find some fast food places open till late, the golf course is a must for enthusiasts, this is included in my next trip as a must do again. However if you do travel, avoid rush hour around 4pm when heading back to your overnight place as traffic from the mines is hectic

    I loved everything at Nungu game lodge,the staff welcomed us...

    I loved everything at Nungu game lodge,the staff welcomed us nicely and picnic was amazing.game drive was fun and not forgetting dinner was delicious/I wish I stayed few more days I really enjoyed myself and I will truly recommend this place

    I went to Lephalale for work and did not venture out to see the sights. I liked the antelope on the site, the ostriches' on the other side of the fence the gardens, the pool and the dam. I thought the security was as good as it can be!
