Open spaces, quiet country town with friendly, welcoming people. Community cares about this town and is proud of its cleanliness. People are investing in its future. It is an interesting place.
It is an interesting place. I can't beleive that there is no shop there. Perhaps there should be a place to buy some necessities like water, toiletries and basic meds, for example panados, vicks, sanitary towels, etc. Farmers in the area can initiate that. Loxton is a small town in the Karoo, off the regular travel routes. It is peaceful, quiet, pretty and safe. We walked around the town, enjoyed the character of the place, chatted to locals and took many photographs. We ate at the Karos Lodge, where we had a fabulous dinner and breakfast.
