Very beautiful view of the Breederivier and a place to relax in the silence of nature, my kids enjoyed themselves,the play room, trampoline and play area kept them entertained. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent

We were warmly welcomed and spent a very comfortable overnight stop. Milk fresh from the cows was in our fridge. The family were very helpful. We would recommend this guest house.

What a peaceful oasis. Anna and Arno are lovely hosts who do everything to make you feel at home. They also gave me great tips for my next day's trip. The place is quiet, you just hear the birds singing, so your mind can really calm down instantly. I loved having my meals on the veranda with a view. Dinner and breakfast were outstanding, all fresh and high quality ingredients, plus a lot of it homemade by Anna (her homebaked bread is fabulous, and the chutney and jams, too!). I even got to taste some South African specialties. Anna catered perfectly to my vegetarian needs. The mattress was on the harder side, which was good for my back. The place is incredible - so many antiques, and almost all of them are far from randomly bought - instead, they belong to Anna's family, so it is "the real deal" and gives the place its soul. If you like it minimalist and modern - this is not your place. But if you like something unique and vintage with wonderful hosts, this will be to your liking. Also Anna had put some lovely plant decoration everywhere, with so much attention to detail. The doggos were super cuddly and friendly, too. Thank you Anna and Arno, I will gladly return when back in this area!

The location on the river is spectacular. The accommodation was well equipped and we did not want for anything. The host was extremely friendly and accomadating. Got the best lamb I ever tasted from the farm. Facilities are well laid out and private. Super safe and no keys, what a wonderful feeling

An lost place in the South African plain but so beautiful and exotic. A welcome at the top, a small rustic house but with a beautiful decoration, nice facilities, a very nice fireplace, bedrooms and bathrooms very beautiful. Everything was perfect. The photos on booking do not transmit enough the beauty of the place. Thanks again for this haven of peace !

    It's an absolute beaut to stay on the River.

    It's an absolute beaut to stay on the River. Indoor braai and the walks down to the riverside was awesome. Ample space. The Double Bunks make up for more space for more people which is great. The cupboards was dirty And the fridge had a smell All in all very nice stay. The Bees came out the Sunday but scary though just glad it was after we had a blast there.

    A great rustic lodge experience with outdoor fire-heated hot tub by the river, very close (about 30 mins drive) to De Hoop national park. The location itself is about 10 mins from the trading post that has all the basics, and about 10 mins from the local town with a petrol station. Access by car is a must. Excellent for families or groups of friends. Kayaks are available to use free of charge and the place is full of wildlife. A quieter and more secluded alternative to the De Hoop collection or main hotel in Malgas.

    This is a lovely country hotel. It is old (as you would expect) but clean and comfortable. The staff are exceptional and Kyle was just so helpful attending to our every need. We just loved it. Our daughter and husband and kids were staying near by so we only had dinner on Xmas night which was a carvery which we really enjoyed. Beautiful location right on the river, perfect for a rest away from city life.

    Malagas Hotel is close to De Hoop Nature Reserve, a very beautiful area. The garden is very nice and so is the balcony. The staff is super friendly and pollite. Also the room was clean and comfortable. The best thing, however, was the dinner. Super delicious!

    A lovely countryside hotel along the banks of the Breede River. Delicious breakfast and dinner. Enjoyed being able to rent a padel boat to take out on the river.
