We loved the wildness of Manyeleti, and felt much closer to nature here than at Kruger. I feel that people are unaware of the real impact on the nature of things like synthetic soaps and compost toilets should be mandatory. I went into the game reserve for an afternoon self game...
I went into the game reserve for an afternoon self game drive. The entrance fee was 55 rands. It was during the dry season so when I first drove in I did not see any animals. But when I got to the main dam I was astonished by the number of animals that were surrounding the dam. At one spot, I witnessed hundreds of impalas and waterbuck drinking and grazing around the dam, heard of elephants and pride of lions sitting in the shade next to the dam. I do recommend booking the game drive in the park as the roads in the park is not so suitable for 4x2. Non-fenced camp site with tents from the ground on wooden platforms. Made it a fantastic experience. The game drive’s were fantastic, we saw the big five after 2 drives, from very close by. Meals are communal around a large table which we enjoyed. Plenty of food but bring your own alcoholic drinks.
