nearest tented camp to skukuza airport. driving is easy, all the way on main road. with sightseeing took us 1 hr (40km/h). the tent is very spacious with full kitchen, big fridge, microwave, stove, sink, cups, plates, pots, cuttleries. the river view tent facing the sabie river but no view of big 5 since the fenced up the other side of the river. Nkuhlu is on one of the main game drive's route where everyone will pass to spot for leopards. so u can be the earliest to get there. we spotted leopard there 3 days in a row. there are also elephants, giraffes, hippos on the main road.

We loved everything. I truly do not know, how one could not give 10 stars for this hotel. From the moment you arrive, you feel like home. They spend a lot of thoughts on the details, as you will have 2-3 people, that will be responsible for specific room numbers and who know your preferences, names and take personal care of you. The location, the venue, the rooms, the view (hippos) are amazing. This was such a unique and wonderful experience

We slept in a tent and the experience was amazing! We woke up to the sounds of animals. The property has a great restaurant, a small shop, and best of all, it offers safari excursions! We were able to meet Myriam, a member of the park. She became our African mother! A beautiful woman! Our stay would not have been the same without her.

Skukuza is a gem—especially if you want that mix of real bush experience without giving up comfort. It’s one of the bigger camps in Kruger, so there’s quite a bit going on, but it still manages to feel peaceful. Favourite spots: We really enjoyed the early morning drives around the park. We were self-driving but cleverly kept an eye on the guided tour operator vehicles, and that helped us catch most of the big sightings. It made the whole experience exciting and rewarding. Where we ate: We mostly self-catered but had a nice meal at the Kruger Hotel on our first evening after arriving past 7 pm. Most of our shopping was done at the Park Shop inside the camp—it was well-stocked and convenient. We even bought some game meat (like kudu and impala), which we braaied once we returned to Rixile. It was delicious and made for a real bush-style dinner. Getting around: Very easy. The camp is drivable and well signposted. If you’re self-driving (as most people are), Skukuza is a great central base for game drives, with plenty of routes and good animal sightings in every direction. Activities for groups of friends: Game drives are the highlight—we had some unforgettable ones. I'd also suggest booking a guided morning drive and, if you're feeling adventurous, trying different types of game meat like wildebeest, crocodile, or impala. It’s a fun experience to share as a group. Evenings back at camp were equally special—braaiing under the stars, swapping stories, and comparing notes on sightings. Skukuza offers just the right balance of wild and comfortable.

I saw loads of the animals I was looking for, Giraffe, Rhino, Impala, Crocodile, Elephants Kudu, and even a couple of Lions and 2 Leopards. Saw the Wild Dogs and Buffalo. I also played golf at Skukuza Golf Club which was a bit of fun. Everyone was friendly and we always felt safe.

Located close skukuza gate of the Kruger national park. It was value for money. Friendly staff and helpful. Missed having a kitchen portion, as it was not self catering. Really enjoyed our stay there.

Great park, amazing wildlife, fantastic experience.

Great park, amazing wildlife, fantastic experience. This being said, it is not a zoo! Don't expect to see all the existing animals in the parc! Some are easy to spot and other not so much, this is real animal kingdom and it's difficult to say who is watching who! Sun sets are also amazing with beautiful colors. Vegetation is small but dense(bushes). According to our guide it is easier to spot the animal during winter / dry season. Bushes hve less leaves making easier spotting animals and the animals gather around the water spot. During summer it is the opposite. Bushes are more dense and r'there is water everywhere making animal spotting more difficult. So an advice: winter is great for animals but of course temperature are lower so be prepared for low temperature and bring some warm clothes.

This is a 10/10 property. Right in the Kruger national park, so close to the Skukuza airport and has an incredible view of the river. Even though we went during the wet season we saw plenty of animals including lion cubs. The staff here ensure that you get the best service, they are super attentive and friendly (our wait staff, particularly Polite and Sma were wonderful)! Our guide Sidney was a legend. This is a truly unique and luxury experience, we would highly recommend!!

A beautiful home with all the luxuries you could hope for. Heated pool, sunny terrace, private boma and well-kitted kitchen. The bedrooms, outside shower and relaxing bath felt like a personal hotel suite within the home. Also the excellent service (from the reception to the daily cleaning staff) deserve a special mention. We loved our stay.
