    Proper information should be clearly visible on the beach to warn holiday goers of the threat of E-Coli and that people may get sick. Uvongo to stay in is great as it is centrally located, but if you are a beach lover, rather go to any of the other beaches south of Ramsgate.

    The lagoon was contaminated with E coli. The beaches are magnificent but we were afraid to swim. Two family members had a tummy bug and didn't enjoy their last night. Although the beaches are amazing, people will stop going to the South Coast due to the contamination of the water.

    The place was spacious but not cleaned properly before we arrived. The taps were filthy and the place looked untidy . It needs alot of maintenance. Security asked me to turn off music which was slow. He said it was not allowed but a day later another family arrived and played loud music, was banging the chairs and screaming, breaking things and kept us awake until after 4am but nothing was done by the security. I was very disappointed with the service. The lift stopped working. The play area and games area was really nice.

    Normally a beautiful safe beach but this time the water was brownish. The inflatable slide is a nice feature. You can hire a boat and paddle around the river mouth to the waterfall or try some cliff diving (safety first).

    Because of very rainy weather over the weekend we had to contend with surf that was breaking into the shore with too much sand. Even when we could view the ocean from our apartment it did indicate with the dark waves from a distance that it was not suitable for swimming. We did enjoy walking on the shore though.

    Uvongo beach is the best beach I've ever seen in my 60 years...

    Uvongo beach is the best beach I've ever seen in my 60 years on this planet. Excellent food at the pavilion restaurant, swimming pool, south African hand made items on sale, paddle boats, canoeing, water slides and a host of other facilities and entertainment. Definitely coming back for more. You have to visit to view the beautiful waterfall close to the beach. Travellers, you will not be disappointed.

    We had a fantastic stay at the resort! The view of Uvongo Beach was absolutely breathtaking, and we loved waking up to the sound of the waves. The security is excellent, making us feel safe and relaxed throughout our stay. The refreshing pool and well-maintained braai area were perfect for unwinding, and the close access to the beach made every moment even more enjoyable. We can’t wait to visit again!
