My Kids stayed for one night as my son was cycling in a Road Race in Veldrif. The kids especially mentioned the friendly receptionist. 10/10 for her kindness and service. My son who is very fussy said he would definitely be back to stay.

Absolute safe and secure location in the prime area of Admiral Island. Secure parking. Love the view from the balcony and braai area. Richard and Chantel are excellent hosts and very accomodating. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

    Velddrif is so central and everything is nearby.

    Velddrif is so central and everything is nearby. There is a fantastic SuperSpar nearby which is very well stocked. We found an incredible restaurant right on the beachfront called Zeezicht. The food was exceptional and the staff friendly and attentive. I believe the owner is the chef as well. Went back three times. There is also a delightful ice cream shop at the harbour, Lighthouse Deli - well worth a visit. The ice-creams were thick and creamy and very reasonably priced.

    Best towns in the middle of the west coast.

    Best towns in the middle of the west coast. We enjoyed the Visvlekhuis, day out on the sea fishing, Bokkomlaan etc. We did day trips to Langebaan, West coast national park, Jacobsbaai, Dwarskersbos and Elandsbaai.

    An easy journey from Cape Town.

    An easy journey from Cape Town. We love the location and the surrounds of Lermitage Quagga Lodge: right by the beautiful Berg River with rustling reeds, amazing sunsets, lots of birds and of the course the wonderful quagga and other wildlife. The accommodation was excellent. We were 5 adults and 5 kids (aged 14-5) who could roam freely and safely around the chalets. A wonderful few days.

    We had amazing hikes along the beach walking from St Jacobs...

    We had amazing hikes along the beach walking from St Jacobs Bay in the direction of Paternoster. Had lunch at Russels on the Port and Dinner at De See Kat in Paternoster. Both were really nice, Paternoster's restaurant more upmarket.

    Velddrif is a quirky town with a lot of character and...

    Velddrif is a quirky town with a lot of character and magnificent bird life. If you are a nature lover you will adore Velddrif. We stayed just past Velddrif in Dwarskersbos which, although its a little further out of town, had the most beautiful beach with millions of little shells. Special!

    Great little town for a weekend getaway or longer!

    Great little town for a weekend getaway or longer! Ideal if you enjoy fishing and there are many pubs and restaurants :) We liked the place we stayed in, all the standard conveniences are there - note no tv so take your laptop if you need entertainment - wifi is good! Everything was great, except the braai for the studio was a bit small, but we made it work! Although mostly quiet inside, you are next to a busy road so tend to be noisy outside. Cute garden and gazebo for when you braai or want to relax :) Do check out Bokkomlaan which is close, and have nice views and cool little shops and restaurants.

    The room was lovely with every little detail taken care of. The kitchenette is actually built in to cupboard space, so when you close the doors you feel as if you are in a lovely hotel room. The hosts were friendly and helpful and went out of their way to assist us. Would definitely go back there again.

    The hotel staff were amazing and friendly. They were most helpful, made suggestions such as enjoying dessert on our balcony. The hotel had a generator and we were not affected by loadshedding.
