It's a traditional Japanese home, with futons and a great choice of records. On top of that, there is a piano. A little untuned, but otherwise alright. This was my first time sleeping on a futon, but it was really comfy. The entire house was really near and clean, and had a very retro appearance which made it feel lived in. The location is perfect, close to Odawara Station and a convenience store is just around the corner.

The apartment is very well situated, 10 minutes walk (the final part quite steep) from Hakone-Yumoto station. The hosts are friendly and welcoming and the apartment is spacious and very well equipped. We enjoyed 2 delicious dinners and a lovely breakfast. The setting is lovely- with great views out towards the surrounding hills.

Accommodation was excellent. Space after 5 days in Tokyo. Correspondence was v prompt. It was in Japanese but Google translate helped. We did manage to get taxis and I would say it is necessary on arrival with luggage. We waited max 10 mins to flag a taxi down. No issues with any instructions which were v detailed. Sauna was easy to use and v enjoyable. Kitchen stocked. Washing machine and dryer were outside but not an issue. Quiet. Living room and tv good. Rooms and beds comfortable. Shower good, Walked once to the station downhill and wasn’t difficult downhill. Probably less than 30 mins. Would recommend at least 2 nights in Hakone as it takes a good day to explore. Hakone is very different from Tokyo and we generally bought our drinks and food at Lawsons and got a taxi back up the hill. Was nice to relax at moon hakone after the days travel.

4ppl stayed with 2 kids 11, 14. The beds were just right, pillows perfect, lots of space, indoor + outdoor onsen, pool + pool toys, 2 bathrooms, very clean. Excellent cooking facilities. Highly recommended 👌 steep 18min walk to get here, but worth it. Very tranquil. Very comfortable. Can't rate it high enough.

This was definitely one of the most unique and interesting places I've stayed. It was absolutely gorgeous and was covered in amazing traditional decor. The outdoor onsen was so luxurious and relaxing. It was awesome getting to know the history of the house and it felt like we stayed somewhere really special. It was very large and can accommodate a large group easily.

Super cozy home! 3 of us stayed here and it was more than enough room! Check in was a breeze, the home was super clean and had everything we needed! The host communicated instructions very well and even left us a whole binder of how to operate all the amenities in the room. ありがとうございます!

The apartment was comfortable and thoughtfully equipped for a practical stay. Even in rooms with a single electrical outlet, an extension cord was conveniently provided to ensure easy access near the beds. A portable Wi-Fi device was available for us to borrow throughout our stay, which was very helpful. And on a particularly rainy day, we were pleasantly surprised to find umbrellas by the door—an especially considerate touch.
