Her and her family are so lovely! She and her husband cooks the most amazing food and he dropped us right at the entrance! They were very helpful towards my family member with mobility needs. Highly recommended for a peaceful, authentic stay!

Difficult to find the location for foreigners and even for our cab driver. The owner went to receive us at the street to make sure we did not miss her. We had the top floor. Awesome with the jacuzzi and cinema projector. Very spacious. Owner was very friendly and helped us with the tickets. Even drove us as VIP at no charge to the entrance of the Great Wall (as we had limited time due to forecasted rain).

The village peaceful, charming and clean. The people really nice. The hosts took us to the ticket office of Great wall and came to pick us up- we also arranged with them the transportation to airport going back. They were really adorable and sweet. Highly recommended - as mentioned in the other posts, language was not a real issue. We all managed to communicate and had an incredible stay. We loved the open space concept of the place. Made you feel as part of the family.

We had a fantastic stay at the Badaling Hotel — it felt like home the moment I walked in! David and May are incredible hosts who truly care about their guests. We originally came to see the Badaling section of the Great Wall, but it was packed with tourists — there was already a queue from the cable car! Thankfully, we decided to book a tour with David, a true history lover. He guided us to a hidden section of the Wall with absolutely no other tourists in sight — peaceful, breathtaking, and unforgettable. Later, he brought us to a local farm where we enjoyed a delicious lunch made with fresh, local specialties and even visited an ancient Stone village where we tasted "warrior liquor." Truly the highlight of my China trip! Don’t miss the chance to take a tour with David if you want the real Great Wall experience.
