All rooms include a terrace with mountain views. I have a special love for Spanish Colonial Haciendas, and have stayed at quite a few, but Hacienda Pisoje exceeded my expectations. What I loved was the absolute authenticity of this hacienda from the 1700's. You definitely can feel like you have stepped back in time staying here. The rooms are large and filled with period piece furnishings. The gardens are just heavenly! Pablo, part of the owner's family, was completely attentive to what I might enjoy doing, and drove me into Popayan (the hacienda is 20 minutes outside of the city) for visiting the City. Popayan itself was a lovely surprise - it is a beautiful city, with fine restaurants and museums and galleries. Cristina, the cook at Hacienda Pisoje, made a delicious breakfast every morning, served with a beautiful smile. This is not a flashy resort experience. It is a beautiful authentic hacienda restful respite.
