Boasting river views, Riverview Cottage is set in Halkirk, 32 km from The Castle Gardens of Mey. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the holiday home free of charge. The property is non-smoking and is situated 29 km from Sinclair's Bay. Lovely little village, able to park right outside the front door. Very comfortable cottage, appreciated the small welcome basket. Beds very comfortable, bathroom shower worked well. Kitchen well stocked with dishes, glasses, utensils, coffee, etc. Very good internet once we got the WiFi router charged up. It was plugged into the TV but evidently not used recently. Hosts were easy to communicate with, very responsive to questions. Would gladly stay here again.

Auld Tom's Rest, a property with a garden, is situated in St. Andrews, 1.5 km from St Andrews University, 4.4 km from St Andrews Bay, as well as 22 km from Discovery Point. With free WiFi, this 4-star holiday home offers private check-in and check-out. The property is non-smoking and is located 1.5 km from St Andrews East Sands Beach. Auld Tom's Rest definitely was one of the best self-catering accommodations we've ever been to! It is a sweet little house with a nice garden (with a cozy place to sit and a clothesline!) and so very well equipped! Not only did Gary, the host, present us with fresh milk, a bottle of wine, tea and coffee as well as a jar of sweets for the kids; there were so many useful items in the kitchen, like oil, flour, salt, herbs and sauces, even baking paper! Besides, there is plenty of cutlery, plates, all kinds of pots and pans etc. etc. We like to cook so we really appreciated that! A booklet made by Gary gave detailed information regarding the house as well as restaurant/pub recommendations and city maps, which also helped to make our stay as smooth as possible. Thank you for going that extra mile!! Surroundings of the house: We arrived by bus in St. Andrews and walked from the Stagecoach Bus Station to the house: 20 minutes via the city center and next to a little river, very lovely! There is also a (local) bus stop in front of the house. I recommend grocery shopping at Aldi's which is very close to the house, or at Naturity's in South Street (many healthy and organic products).
