The room itself was very comfortable with a fan that kept the room at a nice temperature as the nights are cool.Nice bed and good hot water pressure.

This was a top favourite for the entire family. We loved the location. It was breathtaking. The tranquility, the view and the comfortable seats to relax and take it all in. I loved our porch. I got to do my yoga to the sunrise every morning and this I will always remember. I watched the full moon bloom and the sun rise over the mountains in the morning. Bliss. Breakfast was lovely. Dinner was fresh and delicious. We had our laundry taken care of, perfect. Sandhu the owners son was available to take us where we wanted safely. A warm, friendly, generous family stay. Oh and the monkeys!!! They all just descended full of mischief and curiosity. We were just delighted by them. So much fun. Our kids were just in heaven.

A terrace is available on site and hiking can be enjoyed within close proximity of NETHSARA cottage. Maybe one of the loveliest rooms we booked in our 3 weeks in Sri Lanka. It had 2 beds, a porch and a view on the opposite hill with a Buddhist temple. It is not in downtown Ella but you get the view, so it's a question of taste. Breakfast was served on the porch and was delicious. The owner was great and helped us organize our pickup to and from the cottage as well as a driver to go to Yala.

The family room was great! Two stories, both balconies (up and down) have a lovely veiw. Excellent bed with the best soft linen, good shower, everything so comfortable. Great breakfast served to the balcony with a choice of western or Sri Lankan. The manager was so nice and did everything he could to help. Nice and quiet, but close to the center. We recommend it!

Very nice place, calm and beautiful view from the balcony. Cozy place with home made delicious food. Provided with all the amenities and breakfast for a very reasonable price. The absolutely perfect place for couples! High above the bustle of town, this stand-alone cottage with a private patio set in a lush garden is a mountain oasis. A/c is not needed due to the elevation and fans both inside and outside. Although a solid 30 minute walk from town its worth the peace and quiet and the walk is easy mitigated by renting a scooter (which I strongly suggest) or, if you are uncomfortable with a scooter the host can arrange a prompt and inexpensive tuk tuk. The breakfast is delicious and varied and the host is super responsive and gracious. A bonus is one can start the hike to Ella Rock from the doorstep of the property (+/- 3 hours). My advice is to absolutely stay more than one night!

Thoroughly enjoyed our host Sapu's hospitality and he was very helpful in organizing transport into town and back again.
