The facility was new and spotlessly clean. Our room was spacious and comfortable with plenty of outlets, closet space, a large bathroom with an excellent hot shower. The window opening enabled a nice breeze. The breakfast offered lots of options, especially baked goods, juices, and coffee. The bar, lobby and lounge areas were comfortable for sitting. The hotel staff were both welcoming and accommodating with all our requests including storage over two nights between stays while we made a three day trip to El Chaten. We highly recommend this hotel, which is just a ten minute walk to the bus terminal.

Situated on a hill at the gateway to Calafate, the 4-star Alto Calafate Hotel provides a warm environment and gorgeous views of the Argentino Lake and the Cerro Calafate.

Very nice hotel located on the top of a hill above El Calafate. We had our own car but the hotel offers shuttle service in the afternoon and evening into "downtown". Staff was very nice and helpful. They even let us change our rooms to a more silent part of the hotel when we did not have a good night sleep in the first rooms. Hotel has a nice and large lap pool, pretty warm and another smaller pool as well as a nice gym area with a view. Breakfast choice was plenty, buffet style.

Very clean, at the main street where you can get food, souviniers and looking for local tours. Furniture is new.. simple. Receptionist very friendly eventho not manage to speaknin english. Highly recommended.

great place, super quiet and nice spacious rooms. 5min walk into town. lovely staff, super helpful with everything! breakfast delicious with what felt like home cooked baked items! we ended up rebooking to stay there when we came back as it was just so nice.
