THis facility is EXCELLENT!!! What a dream of a place to relax and vacation. Mother Nature provided rain for many days but we were comfortable, well taken are of and enjoyed the clean indoor pool and sauna. Gorgeous grounds, fantastic breakfast and afternoon "Kaffee und Kuchen" with delights backed by Margareta (the owner) herself. This is a family operated hotel and restaurant and we were truly spoiled. They all went above and beyond helping us (when our rental car would not start), catered to our needs for our 93 year old mother and were always kind, friendly and accommodating. The restaurant on the property called the Mostschenke im Heustadl and provides a five star Austrian experience in dining. The family has been on this property since the 1600's and have up-dated and built the hotel in the last ten - twelve years. The Mostschenke is the renovated cattle barn and it a delightful venue for dining. The Hotel is clean, bright and the two bedroom chalet suite is a dream for a family vacation. Having breakfast outside with the birds chirping in the beautifull and relax setting was memorable.

The property has a beautiful setting with a lovely courtyard for breakfast or drinks and the location 3 minutes walk from the charming old centre of Schorfling is excellent. The hostess Eva Knoll and staff are very pleasant and helpful and provide excellent information about all attractions in the magnificent Salzkammergut lakes area. The town of Schörfling itself is much less touristy than many other towns on the lakes making it a calm but convenient base for exploring the area while enjoying seeing life and traditional activities in a local community.
