I really enjoyed the historical atmosphere of this guest house. It was just like a musium. Location is perfect. Breakfast is good as well. Thanks to the helpful owner, I enjoyed a city sightseeing tour with a good guide. I want to come back again.

The breaksfast was outstanding and short of nothing. The location was a bit further out from the centre but given the bustling, loud city, this wasn't a negative.

Nestled within beautifully landscaped grounds, Shambaling Hotel is a charming refurbished house from the 70s.

Everything was Great! The room was clean and cozy, quite and stylish and have panoramic city-mountain view. The staff is very helpful and welcoming and help me with all my issues. I have the room on the top floor with separate huge shower with big window, this was amazing. The bed was super-comfy. 3-5 Mins walk from Durbar square and other historical places of beautiful Bhaktapur city. 20 mins taxi from Changu Narayan temple which is highly recommended to visit. 40 mins (approx, depends on traffic) from Kathmandu centre. Delicious breakfast in nearby hotel restaurant. Definitely recommend to stay in Bhaktapur for 2-3 nights and choose this hotel!

This place is heaven on earth. The location is so dreamy and absolutely beautiful! It’s become my go to place to stay in Katmandu. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The amenities (sure some needs repair) was a good value for money. To add to context I had been using this hotel for year's and I had paid 3x more on previous occasions. It is sad to see how much Covid had affected this hotel.
