Newly built in 2014, The Passage in Basel is a centrally located design hotel featuring a sauna, a fitness centre, free WiFi access and air-conditioned rooms. Reception staff made us a cappuccino on arrival as we were early for check in. Staff were excellent. Young lady at reception made us a cappuccino one night when sitting at a front table. So thoughtful very friendly. Very clean room.

The Hotel Alexander is located right at the Messe Basel fairgrounds and the Congress Centre, a 7-minute ride from the centre of Basel. The tram stop is right outside. Free Wi-Fi is available. Very good value for money, near train station, restaurants and the family room was really huge and plus the jacuzzi was really great. Our family had fun. The food was also really good.

The Wettstein hotel is located in a central residential quarter of Basel, 200 metres from the Rhine river, and offers you garage parking, free Wi-Fi and a free internet station. The room was exceptionally clean, very well appointed. The bed was very comfortable, and I appreciated the fact that they had blackout curtains. The staff was extremely helpful, smiling, and courteous. The breakfast was very sumptuous. All in all, an excellent experience.

The Basel Backpack is housed in a renovated historic factory, only 10 minutes from Basel’s main train station. The Basel Mobility Ticket (free public transport) is included in the rates. The experience in general, the recepcionist was super nice and friendly, she explained everything very well. The room was spacios and some beds were double and some others individual. The location is not exactly in the center but considering that you get a card for public transport, it is super easy to move around so all good.

The Central City Hotel Rochat is housed in a historic, listed building in the old town of Basel. We absolutely loved this hotel. We had a family wing out the back, and it was so quiet. Christiana was so friendly and helpful when I wasn't well. Huge rooms, close to public transport and walking distance to the river.

The family-run GAIA Hotel Basel can be found right across from Basel Main Train Station, only a 10-minute walk from the historic city centre. Excellent location and outstanding service. Will fully recommend.

Hotel Schweizerhof enjoys a preferred location in the centre of Basel, next to the SBB train station and is easily accessible by car and public transport. Local phone calls are free. The location was great in that we needed to get to the train early in morning. Staff was super nice. Bathroom was excellent

Situated in a historic building in central Basel, Euler Hotel is opposite the SBB Train Station. Guests receive a Mobility Ticket, granting free access to all means of public transport. Maintaining an atmosphere of the good-old-day hotel. I was welcomed by a live piano music at the hotel entrance. Staff are very kind and helpful. Breakfast was good. It is so close to the central station.
