The family-run Seehotel Gotthard in Weggis on the shore of Lake Lucerne, 25 km from Lucerne, offers 2 restaurants, a pizzeria, a bistro and rooms with scenic views and free WiFi. We spent a week in the hotel in April. It is a beautiful property and a great base for walks to Hertenstein, Vitznau and to the cable car to mount Rigi. The hotel is near the ferry dock which provides an easy way to reach the many small pretty towns on the Lake Lucerne. The hotel staff is very pleasant and helpful, the breakfast buffet is simply delicious! It is a very good opportunity to sample local breads, cheeses and cold meat cuts, and the hostess will also cook eggs to your liking. Our room with the lake view was so pretty! Highly recommend the hotel.

The Lubo - self check-in is located in the center of the city of Lucerne in the historic old town and only a 10-minute walk from Lucerne main station and just 200 metres from the shores of Lake... The room was much nicer than I expected at this price range. The location was perfect. The bathroom was quite large. It was a quiet location as well. Check-in was easy (once we figured out that the check-in is inside the building, and you just have to push very hard on the door to get into the building. We thought it was locked and we were stuck outside for 10+ minutes before we figured it out. Absolutely wonderful place to stay, and incredibly cheap!

Château Gütsch is set in a 19th-century castle, overlooking the town of Lucerne and Lake Lucerne, with views to the Rigi Mountain. The interior was renovated and designed by Martyn Lawrence Bullard. Loved the room and the hotel in general. Fabulous views and close enough to the centre of Lucerne for exploring.

Located 1 km away from Lucerne, Gasthaus zur Waldegg features 1 restaurant offering traditional Swiss and international cuisine and a beer garden overlooking Mount Pilatus. Great Location and access to transportation away from the busy atmosphere of Luzern. Rooms well appointed and comfortable beds. Breakfast included was perfect for us.

Very easy to check in and check out. Central location, easy to find. Nice and cosy big room, with fridge and coffee/tea maker. Comfort beds.

The Seehof du Lac is situated in the centre of Weggis and only 25 km from Luzern, on one of the loveliest spots on Lake Lucerne. Guests can enjoy a large lakeside lounge with direct lake access. Everything was perfect. Location, breakfast, hospitality, view and the room with the lake view.

The Seehotel Sternen is located in the heart of central Switzerland, right by the banks of Lake Lucerne in the picturesque Horw Bay, only a 5-minute drive from Lucerne. The location is very close to Lucerne, yet in a wonderfully quiet spot right on the lake shore. The views were stunning! The breakfast was generous, with plenty of options and several local products.
