This lovely little hotel exceeded our expectations! The location was good, the breakfast was really good. The whole hotel, including rooms and staircase is filled with vintage furniture and decorations, very tastefully done. The hotel is well taken care of by the owners. We just loved this hotel! Highly recommended!

Το Giardino Lago είναι ένα κομψό boutique ξενοδοχείο που βρίσκεται ακριβώς πάνω στον παραλιακό δρόμο της λίμνης Minusio και προσφέρει εκλεκτή κουζίνα. Παρέχονται δωρεάν Wi-Fi, ποδήλατα και ξαπλώστρες.... Peaceful, beautiful. Everyone was very friendly.

Right on the shore of Lake Lugano, this family-run 4-star hotel offers restaurants, free WiFi, and a south-facing outdoor pool with direct lake access. The centre of Lugano is a 10-minute walk away. Best hotel in Lugano! Excellent breakfast. Beautiful view. Pool and lake fantastic. Nice staff. Great location close to funicular ride to Monte Bre, ferry to Gandria, Paradiso and other places by the Lugano Lake, the beautiful Parco Ciani and Lugano Centro with a lot of excellent restaurants, shopping and cafe's. You can easily walk. If you prefer to take the bus its for free (Ticino Pass from the hotel) and taxi is not expensive in my opinion.

Once a patrician residence built in the 18th century, the Hotel Tamaro can be found right on the banks of Lake Maggiore in the centre of Ascona. The hotel was really nice, the staff were super helpful & friendly. Location was great.

The Hotel&Hostel Montarina occupies a historic Villa built around 1860, only 200 metres from the Lugano train station. Everything about it was great. I've reached a bit late for the check-in found a really nice lady that helped me with everything and explained to me what to do. You will have to put a cash deposit for the key (20 euros or something similar) don't worry if you don't have cash you can just give her something to hold onto like a licence or your id. It was very comfortable, there was privacy in between the beds and the place is gorgeous. I didn't go to the swimming pool as i had a little inconvenience however there's a very nice pool there and it's lovely overall. Enjoyed it !
