Located 200 metres from the commercial centre and 150 metres from the beach, Hotel Boutique Don Pepe offers free Wi-Fi and a personalized a la carte breakfast in Santa Marta. The hotel is located conveniently in the city center. The staff is very friendly and the received us with a cocktail. Before going to our bedroom they took us for a short tour in the hotel and share with us the hotel family history and the house history, and showed us how to enjoy the place. We received an upgrade to the presidential bedroom which was beautifully decorated. Had a double large shower. The breakfast was delicious.

Just half a block from Santa Marta’s Marina, Casa de Isabella, a Kali Hotel has rooms with iPod docking stations and free Wi-Fi. This is the nicest hotel I've stayed in. The rooms and grounds were so beautiful, the staff were so attentive and helpful. Franklin at reception always made sure we were well looked after, and gave us good recommendations of where to go in the area for food, laundry service etc. He truly gave a 5 star service. One morning as well we asked to heat up some food because we were going on a tour, one of the ladies heated it up for us and also provided juice and coffee even though breakfast was not open yet. Really really thoughtful staff!

This modern hostel is located in the heart of Santa Marta, just 400 metres from the bay. It boasts free Wi-Fi, 2 swimming pools and a terrace with excellent views of the city. Friendly staff (Pamela & Vanesa were amazing), clean rooms, air conditioning (essential in santa marta), great kitchen, fair prices for food and drink, view of the sunset from the roof terrace, lots of places to chill and/or meet people.

Just a few steps from Playa Bello Horizonte on the Colombian Caribbean coast, Hotel Santorini Resort invites you to enjoy a unique beachfront experience. Our stay was simply amazing from start to end. We got a double room with balcony in the third floor. Checking in was fast and pretty easy, everything was in order and everything was crystal clear. We were actually surprised they take cleanliness very seriously and do a thorough clean every day (scrubbing floors, new sheets, new towels, new blankets). Aircon and TV work flawlessly. Breakfast was superb and quite big which I loved. There was a nice assortment of options including fruits, breakfast cereal, yogurts, beverages, soups, eggs, traditional sausages, arepas, bread… quite the assortment for real! This is a very quiet neighbourhood and it’s just a block away from the beach. There’s the Zazue mall at walking distance which has plenty of things to do and visit. The hotel even provides beach tents at a cheaper fare than the guys at the beach. You’re even welcomed to bring your own snacks and store them in your mini bar. High ceilings (which I personally love). The staff was super friendly and easy to reach at all times. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Extremely pleased. No hidden fees. Read some regular reviews in Google and I was quite worried but this place ended up exceeding by far any of our expectations. Best hotel stay so far. Wish we could stay longer!

Del Mar is located in El Rodadero, just 4 km away from Santa Marta. Free WiFi access is available. The hotel is a 3-minute walk from El Rodadero Beach and from Rodadero Sea Aquarium and Museum. It was very clean, modern rooms and amazing breakfast! This area is the area to come if you want to be surrounded by Colombian and South American tourists. I think I was the only one from another country in Rodadero and because of this you really get a taste of life in the inside. This location was perfect for hopping on the boat to lovely Playa Blanca as well.
