Located in a former school building, the family-run Hotel Volkschule offers comfortable rooms in central Hamburg. Free WiFi internet access is available throughout the hotel. Curtains make it perfectly dark, they have both regular and ergonomic pillows on the bed, amazing breakfast with proper tea selection and set-up for the non-coffee-drinkers, which is rare. Free parking, beautiful spacious room, very nice and calm hotel bar area (inside and outside), really cute decorations, lots of attention to detail.

Set in the Portuguese Quarter with its many shops and restaurants, Clipper Boardinghouse - Hamburg-Michel provides apartments that are just a 5-minute walk from Hamburg Harbour. It’s an excellent hotel, with beautifully decorated rooms and high-end equipment. Central venue, with lots of restaurants down the street, river bank and Elbphilharmonie in a ten-minute walk. We’ve been staying for the second time in this hotel and will return when again in Hamburg. Highly recommended.

Centrally situated in a quiet side street, this 3-star superior hotel is located between the lively St. Pauli district and the Schanzenviertel district. Had a lovely 3-night stay in Hotel St Annen. We arrived with an early flight to Hamburg and the staff were very accommodating with storing our luggage until our rooms were ready for check in. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was fresh and tasty! Hope to come back next year!

I booked the place for my mother (an elderly woman). I particularly asked her for some feedback - he was extremely happy with the accommodation provided - everything was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Located in a quiet area. The communication with the hosts prior to arrival was excellent - they provided detailed instructions and even waited for my mother to arrive shortly after working hours in order the check her in, which was a very kind gesture.
