Convento de San Benito is a restored convent, set in the pretty Galician fishing port of A Guarda. The spacious rooms all have a french balcony, a minibar and a safe. It’s a great property: ancient building, simply museum, with all the modern facilities. Great staff, prompt check-in, excellent quality of the rooms. Beautiful ambience everywhere

Self check I was straight forward. Our room had a beautiful view and it seems most if not all rooms would as well. We just left the persianas and the drapes open, and whenever we got up in the night, there was the ocean and the moon. It was heavenly.

The hotel is in a beautiful old winery and gardens that you can walk around in - really stunning. Rooms and common areas are beautifully decorated and comfortable. The breakfast was also amazing! Staff were lovely. It was a real treat to have a wine tasting in the courtyard under the vines in the sunshine. Location was also great - very easy and quick to walk into town and to local restaurants.
