Located in the picturesque village of Hathersage, 10 miles from Sheffield, The George offers free WiFi. The building and the rooms are gorgeous, located perfectly on the Main Street with a bus stop right outside and a close walk to the train station. The food was amazing, highly recommend eating there, and the staff were very accommodating. The lady who checked us in and was also our server, Maya, was incredibly friendly and helpful, thank you! We would love to return to The George

Chatsworth House se nachází 6,3 km odtud. - lovely host! couple looking after the property for friends, they were so friendly and helpful - great walk to Chatsworth (about 1-2 hours, depending on if you get lost like me lol) - discount at the tavern next door, went for dinner and was yummy - complimentary tea, coffee, homemade cookies and cake!

A unique accommodation on a canal boat moored at a quay very near the city center. Quite fun! Spotlessly clean and run by a charming host. If you are looking for the Ritz Carlton, go elsewhere. But if you are in the mood for something different in a great location with all needs met, give this houseboat a try! There’s an easy to understand guide to the facilities on the boat. Included parking is right at the boat and directions to access are complete and simple. Nearby pubs and cafes. If you go, and you see owner Mark around the boats in the morning, talk to him! He is friendly with loads of stories and information and can tell you all about the boats. Our first visit to Sheffield, an interesting city with lots of history and many restaurants, pubs and historical sights. We hope to be back!

Cozy rooms with all the amenities. A beautiful deep porcelain tub to soak after a long day. Food in the restaurant was wonderful. You didn’t leave hungry ! Staff was amazing and attentive. Took our luggage to our room and personally checked us in and made sure we were comfortable. Beautiful gardens. Perfect for a getaway or special occasion. We were traveling and found it a relaxing break on our road trip.
