Nestled in Monksland, a residential suburb of Athlone town, The Athlone Springs Hotel is less than a 6-minute drive from Athlone town centre. I was astounded when I walked into the room and saw the lounge area, huge TV, lovely bedroom and large bathroom. On checkout I was told I had been upgraded to the presidential suite, which was amazing. Breakfast was buffet style, with all you could ask for. A wonderful stay.

Located in Athlone town centre, Arch House is just 2 minutes' walk from the historic Athlone Castle, Old Town, and River Shannon. Very warm friendly and helpful owners at this B and B and was pleased we stayed there. Was in a great location to all the sites in this gorgeous town. And thankyou for helping us find more accommodation in this town to stay another night. We loved this town.

Next to Mullingar Train Station, The Newbury has free super-fast WiFi, free parking. Located in the centre of Mullingar, the 3 star The Newbury is 50 minutes from Dublin. They accepted our booking the night of! Room was clean and had a surprise twin bed. Walkable distance to down town, free parking but quiet at night.
