Set halfway up the hill separating the Valdarno and Chianti Valleys, Villa Barberino dates back to the 14th-century. It offers landscaped gardens, luxury accommodation, and panoramic views. It was just like a dream! Fantastic!

Great walks in the countryside. Very friendly people work there and interesting people stay there. A short drive into Cortona, but plenty of good restaurants without having to drive up into the city.

The staff was authentically friendly, rooms really charming and comfortable, and breakfast more than we could wish for. A historic building; high ceilings, thick walls, Italian antiques; the exact right atmosphere to enjoy your stay in Italy.

It was truly an indulgence. The staff are absolute professionals – attentive, caring, and always ready to help. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food, the wonderful ambience, and the impeccable service. Every moment felt special!

Wonderful homemade breakfast each morning, (Sarah’s mom’s Cornettos we’re our favorite of the entire trip!) Family went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and convenient.
