The location and view are amazing. Matera is a very challenging place to park, but we got great advanced information and a very convenient shuttle. The cave room is perfection. It is large and comfortable with a front patio area that contains a small table and chairs to admire the incredible view.

The room offers a hot tub, a king-size bed and a private bathroom. The room also has the option of soothing music. A very friendly receptionist who explains the whole exploration through Matera. Breakfast was also varied and delicious.

Antico Convicino Rooms & Suites is located in the Sassi di Matera UNESCO site and is set in a 16th-century building. Free Wi-Fi access is available throughout the property. Very big room, with the cave behind where you can relax and drink wine. Very nice staff, explained me a lot about the town.

The location was perfect ,very close to the historic center and within walking distance to all the main attractions. The room was clean and the hosts were absolutely amazing ,warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout our visit. They gave us great recommendations for local restaurants and things to do in the area. You can really see how much they care about making their guests feel at home. We would definitly recommend this place to anyone visiting Matera.
