Surrounded by countryside at the borders of Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio, Altarocca Wine Resort Adults Only has several buildings, rooms and welness suites. Free parking and free WiFi are available. Great place for a stay near Orvieto. I am sure in summer it is amazing, but even in winter it as perfect for our needs. The restaurant is excellent, and the service was very good all around.

Hotel Duomo is just 15 steps up the stone stairway from Orvieto's majestic Gothic Cathedral. All rooms feature air conditioning, an LCD TV with DVD player, and a small table with 2 chairs. The hotel is very well updated looking at the old historic outside. Rooms were so large and well appointed. Best breakfast we had in Italy. Only a minute walk from the main Piazza and few minutes from many restaurants and shopping.

The room was very clean. Bed comfortable-breakfast wonderful with many different options, Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful view from the hotel of Assisi.

Set within a renovated medieval building in the heart of Orvieto, Palazzo Piccolomini is a 4-star hotel a 5-minute walk from the Cathedral. Rooms successfully mix classical design with modern... The kindness of the staff was the most important asset of the hotel. Everyone from the lady at the reception, the colleague who took away our car to park it, the gentleman who was serving at breakfast (and also brought our car from the parking) were really nice and helpful. I liked the smell inside the hotel, bed was comfortable, bathroom was new and fully functional and breakfast was surprisingly complete for Italy, everything to suit anyone’s taste. Location was top, near everything and also valet parking was very useful.

Offering outstanding views of the valley and featuring a garden, Hotel Ideale is located in Assisi, 100 metres from the San Rufino Cathedral. The views are amazing. All though you are in a hotel, you truly feel like if you are home. The garden is beautiful. The breakfast is delicious. Great coffee. I got a beautiful room with an amazing balcony view. The bed was really comfortable. Everything was perfectly clean. The location is great because you have the bus station across the street. Assisi is a little town in a mountain so the streets go up and down. This hotel is located in the upper part so you can cross all the town in your way down and is really easy to go back to the hotel using the bus if you want to avoid the uphills, although is a beautiful experience to walk up and down. Nearby you can find several little restaurants and a beautiful church. The hotel has its own parking lot so if you get there driving is a facility. If you don’t get there driving, the driveway is in front of the hotel so you won’t get any trouble to get there with your luggage. That is something quite important having in consideration that in Assisi there are lots of streets with no car access and that makes the luggage handling difficult. The staff was so welcoming, friendly and helpful.

This was an exceptional stay; the hotel is an easy walk from the parking available to tourists, and you are immediately transported by the charm and beauty of Assisi. The room was beautiful, blending an ancient construction (very deep window wells and stone walls in the breakfast room) with all the modern conveniences. The bed was the most comfortable we slept in during our two weeks in Italy. The breakfast was delicious, with a choice of main dishes that were prepared on the spot and sweet baked goods, espresso and juices. The homemade crostata was incredible.

Just a 5-minute walk from the historic centre of Foligno and set in a historic building, Relais Metelli is 200 metres from Foligno Train Station. Breakfast was great with many choices and good coffee and juices. Room was comfortable Good shower.
