Mitsui Garden Hotel Kumamoto is a 20-minute walk from Kumamoto Castle and a 5-minute drive from JR Kumamoto Station. It offers modern accommodation with a cafe, massage services and free internet. The location is fantastic. You can see it from the Sakuramachi station/ shopping centre (easy to find offline). Plenty of restaurants for all budgets, shopping and dining streets with a rooftop covering (great for rainy days). Close to the castle and all of the transportation. The room was very clean with all the facilities in great working order including all the bathroom facilities. The staff were super helpful and friendly. There was a large selection of Western and Asian style breakfast which was very good. I very much enjoyed my stay here and would definitely return given the chance.

Love the onsen / hot spring, clean and spacious Nice touch with providing free ice cream after the onsen Superb location, walking distance from both the castle and the shopping district
