Offering public indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths, Yufuin Onsen Hinoharu Ryokan features Japanese-style accommodations with a flat-screen satellite TV and Yukata robes. Was an absolutely amazing stay. W The highlight of our trip. The location was great and the private onsen was absolutely amazing.

由布の里 旅荘 牧場の家 Ryoso Makibanoie offers spacious Japanese-style cottages with Mount Yufu views. Free Wi-Fi is available at the public areas and in all guest rooms. The ambiance of being in a small village. So peaceful and quaint. Like that there is both private and public bath.

Right on Beppu Bay, Umino Hotel Hajime offers public hot spring baths and free WiFi. Rooms feature a traditional Japanese decor and a private bathroom with hot spring water. Probably my favorite accomodation in Japan. Wonderfully friendly and English fluent staff, a prime location sandwiched between Beppu Tower, the seaside and a 7-11, only 10 minutes away from Beppu Station, spacious and comfortable rooms with a cozy city view as well as a fantastic rooftop Onsen I spent every morning/night watching the sun rise/set and ships go about their day. Excellent accomodations, staff and value for money and I'd rate 11/10 if I could.

Nishitetsu Resort Inn Beppu boasts a spacious public bathing area including natural hot spring baths and open-air baths. It is just a 10-minute walk from JR Beppu Station. Good location,BF and very friendly staffs.
