Beautiful historic hotel with an entrance right off the zocalo. Many great view options: from the room and from various terraces around the hotel. Magda at reception (I hope I got her name right) was very helpful and kind. One of several examples: I broke my glasses immediately before arrival and was having difficulty checking in. Her mother was in the building and walked us to the busy mercado and showed us the optical store. We were able to store our bags before and after check in (we arrived by bus from CDMX). The Hacienda restaurant was excellent. There is also a very good coffee shop right next door.

Having a pool on the property was fantastic. Decent water pressure. Great housecleaning. Great laundry service. The fridge worked effectively. Getting a breeze through the opened windows was a bonus.
