We are particularly thankful to Abhi, who helped us in organising our trip during busy festival times. Excellent value for money, highly recommended.

Shambaling Boutique Hotel is located 8 km away from Kathmandu Airport and a 20-minute drive from Kathmandu Valley. The iconic Boudha Stupa is only 1 km away, while the Pashupatinath Temple is 4 km from the hotel. We had great stay. Rooms specious, location is perfect, only 8 minutes to Stupa. Quite neighborhood. Hotel and rooms very clean. Breakfast delicious and service during breakfast 5 star.

Tastefully furnished,rooms are equipped with a sofa and a dining area. Guests can also enjoy the picturesque views from the balcony. Free toiletries are included in the attached bathroom. The space and size of the suite are incredibly large and spacious. It features a generous living area with a balcony, which we didn’t use due to the air pollution outside. However, the living room was extremely comfortable, perfect for watching TV, exercising, doing yoga, relaxing, or even taking a nap. The kitchen is spacious but has only the basics, suitable for preparing tea, coffee, or simple meals. We requested a French press at the reception to make coffee, and they provided it immediately. The bathroom is large, but there is no curtain or partition to prevent water from spreading across the floor when showering. However, there is hot water. There wasn’t a hairdryer in the room, but upon request, the reception brought one right away. The bedroom is incredibly cozy and inviting, with a very comfortable bed. You can choose between soft ambient lighting or brighter lights. The windows are soundproof, which is great since the room overlooks the street, but no noise can be heard inside. The room itself is also very spacious. We stayed on the third floor, and the staff kindly helped us carry our luggage up upon arrival and down upon departure. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a delicious hot drink and a small welcoming ceremony, which made our stay feel even more special. One morning, they generously offered us a free tour of the more local, less touristy temples, and we absolutely loved experiencing the authentic atmosphere of the area. The best part? The service was absolutely outstanding. Breakfast was delicious, served at the restaurant of the hotel across the street, The Nanee. The service and quality were excellent. We also had dinner there one evening, and everything was exquisite. Thank you!

Staffs are very friendly, accommodating, caring and courteous. Let me give you an example of its caring staff. “For the breakfast, they serve you with two slices of toasts. Since I was cutting down carbs, I asked the lady at front desk to send me only one slice of toast because I didn’t want to waste food. After few days, she brought me two slices of toasts and told me that the size of the bread on that particular day was kind of smaller, and she thought one smaller piece wouldn’t be enough. That just brought a big smile in my face.” Even the dog at the property is so kind, it likes to welcome all the guests each time they arrive. I will definitely come back here next time I visit Nepal.

It is located in a nice area of Kathmandu - away from city noise yet close to Thamel - the main shopping areas. Would definitely stay here again~
