Ranfurly Cottage is just delightful. Alison and Ron are really friendly and helpful. The cottage is super clean, quiet and comfortable with everything you need for a short stay. It's around a 30 minute drive to National Park and all the walks. We would definitely stay here again.

Quiet and relaxing, breakfast setup was very convenient, seems to be tucked away from everything, but still close to town (~15 min drive) and not far from Tongariro Alpine crossing car park (~40 min drive). There are several common spaces available to guests such as the library, hot tub, sitting room and dining room.

Hotel Coachman is located in the heart of Palmerston North. It offers a large outdoor swimming pool. Free Wi-Fi is included. All rooms at Hotel Coachman feature satellite TV and ironing facilities. Lance on reception was great as was Steve in the Restaurant.

Anndion Lodge Motel offers views over the Wanganui River and is 4 minutes' drive from the main street. It features free unlimited WiFi and a salt water swimming pool. The location was perfect for my needs, close to everything and easy to get to the places I wanted to go to.
