The location is perfect—nestled in a peaceful area yet conveniently close to local attractions, restaurants, and shops. Whether you’re looking to explore or just enjoy some downtime, it’s an ideal spot. The accommodation itself is immaculate. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the attention to detail was evident in every corner. It’s well-equipped with all the amenities you could need, from a fully functional kitchen to cozy furnishings, making it feel like a home away from home. The atmosphere is tranquil, perfect for unwinding after a busy day or for a fully relaxing getaway. What truly made the stay special was the host. Their warm, welcoming nature and attentiveness ensured that everything ran smoothly. They were always available to answer questions or provide recommendations but respected our privacy, striking the perfect balance. I would highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a serene, comfortable, and well-maintained place to stay. It’s clear that every effort has been made to create a space where guests can truly relax and feel cared for.

Tides Hotel is located on the banks of Maitai River, in the centre of Nelson. It features a restaurant, a heated outdoor pool and free WiFi access. On-site parking is available. Found this hotel last minute as our plans changed so we only used it for sleeping, but the check-in/check-out process was easy, the staff was helpful, the room was clean and the beds comfy. That was all we needed at that time.
