When I read the reviews of this place before booking, I thought they might have been a bit exaggerated. Instead, I must admit that I had one of the best hospitality experiences ever. Mrs. Idalia welcomed us warmly, provided everything we could need in the room, and even surprised us with a welcome treat (tea and a delicious chocolate cake). The house is beautiful, spacious, with two terraces and complete privacy. Mrs. Idalia lives downstairs, while the guest rooms are upstairs (with a separate entrance available until a certain time). Breakfast is simply outstanding – generous, varied, and freshly prepared every morning, with fruit, eggs and bacon, toast, jams, yogurt, cereals, and more. The room was spotless, and they even provided disposable slippers. This guest house offers services that, in my opinion, are on par with a 5-star hotel. I honestly couldn’t find a single flaw, and I will definitely return!

Warm and helpful staff who went the extra distance to make guests feel welcome. Generous hospitality with afternoon cakes and teas. Well prepared regional dinners served at the Quinta were excellent.

The Design Hotel has a kids’ club as well as babysitting services. Other convenient facilities include an airport shuttle and car rental services. The room was a good size with a kings size bed that was comfortable and breakfast was amazing with excellent views over the river and the sea due to the location. For me, the best thing in the hotel is the spa for relaxation
