The Guimarães Castle, the city’s most iconic landmark is 150 metres away. - best place to have breakfast in Guimarães - in the heart of town - extremely friendly personal - the city is the essence of Portugal in my eyes. If you miss it, you missed a very important part of the country - recommendation to stay over night, to see city late night and early morning :)

Wonderful to wake up and see the view from the balcony. Room was very spacious including a kitchen where we had our late-night dinner. So sorry we spent only one night there...

Situated in a 12th century Augustin Convent, the Pousada Mosteiro de Guimaraes overlooks Guimarães. Rooms are equipped with modern amenities including air conditioning and cable TV. All the staff has been super helpful! We had a wonderful stay there. The balcony and the garden were so beautiful and from the balcony you can see a great view of Guimarães when the weather is nice 😊👍! Also, the breakfast was delicious!

A balcony, a seperate living room with a kitchen and a sleeping room with a huge shower. You have a private washing machine inside the apartment. The apartment is right in the center of town, very easy to get anywhere and 10 minutes walk to the central bus station. Very nice staff that met me at the entrance at check in. Cost effective compared to other properties in the same area.

U snídaně si můžete užít výhled do zahrady. this was a lovely property and the room was huge and modern. it is very close to the old centre yet v quiet. breakfast was excellent

An historic home in Viana do Costelo where one can experience life living in a mansion with a huge dining room, Great Room, and rich and luxurious sleeping accommodations. The breakfast is wonderful and prepared to any specific requests. The host (Tiago) was extremely helpful with a tour of the historic home and recommendations for sights and dining in the area. The history of the Casa and Manuel Espregueira e Oliveira is well displayed in the reading room which is like a museum of the highest order, and the Casa has artwork and other features that made it seem like one is living the life of what is otherwise displayed in local museums. A wonderful and rich experience. A must do if possible.

Casa do Ameal se nachází v panském domě ze 16. století obklopeném svěžími zahradami, 1 km od Viany. do Castelo historické centrum. Nabízí bazén a neplacené parkoviště. Everything! João was a brilliant host and was incredibly helpful in the lead up to our trip, and whilst we were there. The rooms and whole of the property were lovely. Delicious breakfast every morning with fresh fruit and pastries. Very close to Viana do Castelo and literally next door to two supermarkets but the hotel felt like your own private oasis. The pool was lovely and refreshing. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the charm and warmth of this beautiful building right in the heart of the town. The location couldn’t be better, just a 2 min walk to the historic centre, the river, and plenty of lovely restaurants and cafes. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and beautiful decorated with a perfect blend of modern amenities and traditional touches. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, we slept so well each night.
