They offer free bikes to ride around the town. You can pet and feed the animal. The frogs croak and hop happily around. The staff is very welcoming and kind. The home is clean and comfortable. They also provide you with ingredient to cook yourself breakfast every morning. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants a more rural experience of Portugal.

Found this place somewhat randomly and spent 3 night in their basic rooms, with the deck. The architecture, interior design, food, and most importantly service were impeccable and very high value for the money we spent. Especially the staff.. they went above an beyond to make sure you felt welcome and pampered. Great location if you want to spend a bit of time away and up in the mountains (hills) of Portugal. Highly recommended. p.s. We did make a stop for dinner at the higher rated (5 star) hotel owned by the same group. This location compared to that felt nicer. Both the interior design and people felt a lot warmer here.
